Carnaval

Hey everybody, checking in with another blog post. This weekend I had my first traveling experience since  I have been living in Spain/Basque Country. I spent three days in Alicante, and one in Valencia. Traveling is definitely tiring and not cheap by far, but I hope that my experiences validated everything. First, I'd like to say that the Mediterranean is beautiful. One time in high school i had a dream that i was on a bus seeing the Pacific Ocean for the first time, but I had a funny moment on the bus to Valencia where my mind was instantly drawn to that dream. Who knows, I'd like to think it was some kind of "meant to be" moment, but maybe I am trying to convince myself of that.

Anyway, pretty much just had a great, fun weekend. As with everything to far in Spain, I felt myself constantly amazed by the beauty of my surroundings. I was also able to reflect on everything going on. Studying abroad just really seems to me to be necessary for college students. The knowledge that you receive about another culture offers a new perspective on everything, and it enables you to realize the merits and flaws of your culture and the new culture, which I really believe can help you get what you should out of this life.

Don't think I blogged about it yet, but I went to my first partido de La Liga two weeks ago. The atmosphere was seriously unbeatable. Unfortunately Athletic lost to Valencia, but being there and experiencing the "ambiente" was pretty amazing. I met a guy on the plane today who was going to see Barcelona play Arsenal. Pretty sweet deal, wish I had gone hah.

Anyway, putting up some fotos with this, hope you guys like them.
